A Healthy Cat Begins with Proper Nutrition

At Pacific NW Pet Center, we believe in proper nutrition based on your cats breed, age, lifestyle, and genetics.

We source food that is produced with only your cat's well being in mind.

Whole meat proteins

Health promoting fruits and vegetables

and solutions based foods to help the picky eaters, the cats with food allergies, and those who need extra moisture in their diets.

The kibble, canned, raw and raw freeze dried foods Pacific NW Pet Center sources are created by carefully vetted manufacturers who source and use whole animal based meats.  Many locally raised, wild caught and free range.

Cat's bodies do not produce an amylase enzyme that digests carbohydrates and turns them

into energy, therefore our foods are protein forward with minimal carbohydrates.

Non-GMO, no antibiotics and highly palatable, our foods are easily transitioned to by even the most picky of eaters.

Our cat foods offer many usual and unusual proteins, so each pet parent can have the ability to choose the one that is right for their feline.

Our food proteins consist of Venison, Beef, Quail, Duck, Chicken, Salmon, Turkey, Rabbit and Tuna

Many  cats are difficult to change to a healthier diet, or even unwilling to eat due to age or  disinterest.

If your vet has encouraged you to find a healthier food for your picky eater, or you are just tired of the health issues associated with lower quality foods.

Looking to stop constant vomiting, hair balls, urine crystals and kidney issues, but afraid your sweet kitty won't eat anything else?

Try our highly palatable high quality kibbles, raw, raw freeze dried and canned foods.  Created to appeal to the picky eater, and the kitty with sensitivities that cause various common health problem.

overweight and over-eaters

Underweight and Picky eaters

overweight and over-eaters

Just like in humans and canines, being overweight and obese

can have numerous health issues for cat.

Excess weight puts unnecessary strain on tendons and ligaments, causing early onset arthritis.

As in other mammals excessive weight can also cause diabetes and urinary tract issues, such as crystals in the urine and kidney disease.

Most excess weight for cats is caused by the high carb ratio in your cats OTC foods.  Cats lack an amylase enzyme which helps break down carbs, creating excess unusable calories.

At Pacific NW Pet Center, our foods are animal protein forward, therefore providing calories that are utilized by your cats natural system.

Canned Cat Diets

Raw and Raw Freeze Dried Food

overweight and over-eaters

A great-tasting complement to the  dry formulas, or a stand-alone diet for your special cat.

Pacific NW Pet Center offers grain free wet food, for the optimal health of your cat!

Veterinarians recommend feeding canned food as a topper or a primary diet for cats of all ages.  Canned foods contain very little carbohydrates and extra moisture and protein which is closer to what a cat would eat in nature.

At Pacific NW Pet Center, we believe that the closer we feed to what an animal would eat in nature, the greater their health will be.

Kitty Kibble

Non-GMO, because GMO's are not part of a cats wild nature, The animal proteins contained in our foods are free range, wild caught with no antibiotics and no "waste parts."

As a bonus, all of our kibbles are highly palatable and make or an easy transition to for even the pickiest eaters.

Cooking degrades nutrients in meat, causing the loss of vitamins, minerals and amino acids. Meat used in highly-processed pet food is cooked at high temperatures. The nutrients lost must be added back. This supplementation is not exact. There are nutrient losses that aren't always replaced. Cats in the wild often eat the entire prey animal. This includes the bones of prey, as raw bone is highly digestible and is their primary source of calcium. Cooking bone reduces the nutrients available, making it brittle and dangerous to ingest. Providing your cats with a diet that is modeled on what they would eat in the wild has many benefits, both for you and your cat:

  • Improved digestion
  • Greatly reduced stool odor and volume
  • Increased energy
  • Weight loss, if overweight
  • Better dental health
  • Better urinary health
